The Missouri high school baseball season kicks off on Mar. 19, opening day for regular season action under MSHSAA regulations. Leading up to opening day, we’ll be publishing our team previews ahead of the 2026 spring season, touching on programs spanning all state classifications, counting down to the official Prep Baseball Missouri Preseason Power 25 Rankings.
Perennially, we’ve submitted a preseason questionnaire to high school head coaches across the entire state. Their responses have been flooding in and we’re using the detailed insight they’ve provided in our team-by-team preseason analysis.

Coach’s Insight: “The strength with this year's team can be found in the experience of the senior class where Jack Passan and Nico Chiu have been starting since they were freshmen. This senior class has seen the program's win totals increase from 11 in 2023 to 15 in 2022 to 22 in 2025. Other seniors Beckley Seaton and Griffin Wetzel have also played significant roles in the program's increased number of wins. Catcher is a strong position as junior Miles Washington has embraced the position after being moved there his freshman year. The starting pitching will be led by J.P. Weber and Sohan Sanjanwala with Pierce Jaffe playing a swing position between starter and reliever. The program's weakness this year will be depth. Looking at having only 20 players at most in the program which makes playing a full JV schedule difficult. We also lost a lot of outfielders from the 2025 team, so we are unsure how our outfield will perform.” – Jeff Diskin, head coach
