Top Fastballs Class of 2028

Henry Heller LHP / OF / Moc-Floyd Valley High School, IA / 2028

Heller was one of the most dominant starters that we saw all year and his Fastball was a big reason why. Heller is a 6-foot-1, near 200 pound sophomore that uses his frame well. We saw him a number of times this fall with Nebraska Prospects and Top Tier Iowa, he dominated every outing heavily relying on his heater.
Heller Features a 2-pitch mix with his breaking ball being a slider that spins about 2200 rpm. He didnt use it much in game scenarios at homefield and creekside this fall because his fastball was so dominant. What makes his fastball so good is not just the high 80's velo but the spin and angle that he comes at you with. He has an over the top delivery which creates some tilt from release to the catchers mit, and the true spin that his heater has creates alot of carry on it. This makes his fastball really hard to hit up in the zone and creates real deception down in the zone because the hitter sees it low, but it stays up and catches the bottom of the zone. We cant wait to see what Heller looks like when we see him again as we believe that there is even more velo and polishing to be done.
