Jake Busse has one of the highest ceilings of any arm we saw this year. At 6-foot-7 and a lean, athletic 220 pounds, he has all the makings of a true power arm at the next level. The Oklahoma commit took major strides this year, with his fastball velocity continuing to climb as the summer went on.
We saw Busse up to 90 mph early in the summer at the Midwest Premier Super 16, then he jumped again at the Heart of America Showcase in July where he topped at 95. He features an easy arm action and does a great job using his length. As he continues to get stronger and polish his delivery, we believe his strikeout ability will translate well to Oklahoma, and his velocity could push into the upper 90s.

The 6-7 200 righty was arguably the most projectable arm at this year’s #PBFG25.
Previously up to 95, Busse ranged 86-92 in this one and mixed a slider at 77-81.#PBFG25 @Jake_Busse_KS pic.twitter.com/2U1DLeUS4n
2027 6’6 Rhp Jake Busse (Olathe Northwest HS) intriguing upside arm, struggled with command but pieced together an effective outing. Upper 80’s FB up to 90 for @Prime27_17
