Matthew Smith RHP / OF / Pinnacle, AZ / 2026Rankings StateRank: 104 / POS: 15
Matthew continues to trend in the right direction as a physical, competitive right hander with real pitch ability. At 6'1 210 pounds, the frame is strong and built to handle innings, and the delivery remains repeatable with a quick, controlled arm that works freely. The fastball worked 85 to 88 mph with over 2100 rpm, showing the ability to live in the zone and compete. He stays athletic through release and does a good job keeping the body on line, allowing the arm to work without excess effort. The separator continues to be the breaking stuff. Both the slider and curveball have spun up to 2570 rpm, flashing real sharpness and depth when he gets out front. The slider in particular has late bite and profiles as a swing and miss pitch at the next level. The changeup at 79 to 81 mph gives him a legitimate third offering and shows enough feel to keep hitters off balance. There is pitchability here, not just stuff, and he shows the ability to sequence and compete through innings. As an uncommitted senior with present stuff, real spin traits, and a durable frame, Matthew is a name college programs should be circling heading into the spring. The foundation is there, and the arsenal gives him a chance to impact a pitching staff at the next level. Highlights: |

Josue Javier-Martinez 1B / 3B / Sahuarita, AZ / 2026Rankings StateRank: 130 / POS: 7
Few players in the state bring the kind of raw strength Josue brings to the box. At 6'4 246 pounds, the frame is large and built for impact, and the numbers back it up. The left handed hitter has been up to 104.6 mph off the bat with a 95.7 mph average and 413 ft max distance, producing some of the loudest contact in the 2026 class. When he is grounded and on time, the ball jumps off the bat differently. The bat speed has climbed as high as 85.5 mph with 25.2 mph hand speed, and the 100 percent hard hit round earlier in the cycle shows just how explosive the barrel can be when everything syncs up. The swing works with present strength and intent and although favors the pullside he shows the ability to drive the middle of the field. When he keeps his direction through the middle of the field and stays in his lower half, it is true middle of the order type impact. The power is not projection based. It is here right now. Defensively, Josue continues to handle himself well for a bigger body. He shows reliable hands around the bag at first and enough arm at 77 mph across the infield to make the routine play with confidence. The footwork has improved over time and he moves better than most would expect for his size, giving him value on the corners. The profile is clear. Big left handed power, physical presence, and present production. For programs looking to add strength and run producing ability in the 2026 class, Josue is a name that deserves attention heading into the spring. Highlights: |

Cash Groppenbacher C / SS / Arizona College Prep, AZ / 2026Cash put together one of the more complete offensive rounds of the upperclass event. The right handed hitter produced a 103.3 mph max exit velocity with a 94.6 mph average, pairing it with an 86 percent hard hit rate that speaks to how consistently he squared the baseball. The strength is real and shows up in game speed swings, with hand speed up to 22.2 mph and bat speed up to 75.6 mph. When he stays centered and lets the hands work, the ball jumps off the barrel. There is physicality in the 5'11 186 pound frame, and he moves better than most catchers, turning in a 7.09 sixty. The athleticism plays behind the plate where he has shown pop times in the 1.92 to 1.95 range with a 77 mph catcher velocity. The exchange is quick and efficient, and he does a good job keeping his feet underneath him to stay accurate through the throw. There is enough arm strength and quickness for the position, and the ability to handle some infield work adds to the overall versatility. As a Glendale CC commit, Cash looks like a strong addition to that program with a chance to make an early impact. The offensive production continues to trend upward, and when you pair that with solid catch and throw skills, you are looking at a tough, physical backstop who can do damage with the bat. Kael Leon 3B / 1B / Shadow Ridge, AZ / 2026Rankings StateRank: 80 / POS: 8
Kael looks the part of a corner infielder the moment he steps on the field. At 5'10 213 pounds, the build is strong and compact with present physicality that translates directly to the bat. The right handed hitter has been up to 104.4 mph off the barrel with a 93.1 mph average and 382 ft max distance, showing real impact that plays beyond batting practice. What stands out most is his ability to drive the baseball to all fields. While there is natural pull side thump, when he keeps direction back up the middle he shows ability to spray the gaps. The swing works with rhythm and controlled aggression. He keeps the barrel in the zone and consistently finds the sweet spot, reflected in previous 85 percent hard hit and sweet spot rounds. When he stays grounded in the lower half, the ball jumps with backspin and carry. This is middle of the order type strength with a mature offensive approach. Defensively, Kael fits cleanly at third base with the size, strength, and arm to handle the position. He has been up to 78 mph across the infield and shows soft hands with the ability to pick hops and stay under control through the play. The actions are steady and reliable, and he looks comfortable on the corner with the versatility to slide across to first when needed. As a Yavapai College commit, Kael brings a strong offensive foundation and the physical presence programs look for at the corner spots. The bat is the calling card, and the ability to impact to all fields makes him a tough at bat in the 2026 class. Highlights: |

Sam Green 2B / SS / Pinnacle, AZ / 2026Rankings StateRank: 87 / POS: 3
Sam continues to trend upward as one of the more athletic and dynamic middle infielders in the 2026 class. The hand speed has been up to 24.5 mph with 76.3 mph bat speed, and the swing works compact and direct with a tight turn through the zone. There is quickness in the hands, some pullside juice in the stroke, and shows the ability to backspin balls to both gaps when his direction stays up the middle of the field. The athleticism is a real separator. A verified 6.61 runner with explosive first step quickness, Sam plays fast and impacts the game on both sides of the ball. The speed translates defensively where he has made a noticeable jump in arm strength, now up to 84 mph across the infield and 89 mph from the outfield. The actions are loose and projectable with the ability to play both on the dirt and in the outfield. There is always room to improve, but the athletic foundation and fluid actions give him real upside around the diamond. As an uncommitted 2026 ranked third in the state at his position, Sam is a name that should be firmly on recruiting boards. The combination of speed, improving strength, and middle infield versatility makes him an intriguing follow heading into the spring. Highlights: |

The actions are athletic and under control, and the versatility to move between corner outfield and first base gives him multiple ways to impact a roster. The run tool is another asset. A 6.78 runner, Ivan moves well for his size and shows athleticism that fits the overall profile. The combination of strength, bat speed, and athletic ability makes him an intriguing uncommitted senior heading into the spring. There is real upside here with a power bat and defensive flexibility. Adam Solak RHP / OF / American Leadership Academy - Queen Creek, AZ / 2026Rankings StateRank: 92 / POS: 13

The right handed bat produced a 100.4 mph max exit velocity with a 95.3 mph average and an 89 percent hard hit rate, consistently squaring baseballs with authority. The strength gains are noticeable, and the ball comes off the barrel with real firmness. The operation in the box has continued to clean up over time. He looks stronger through the core, and the barrel stays in the zone longer, allowing him to produce more consistent damage rather than just flashes. This was a mature, controlled offensive showing that backed up the raw metrics. While he only hit at this event, we have seen the two way value in previous looks with a fastball into the upper 80s and 90 mph from the outfield. That athletic foundation continues to support the overall profile. As a Scottsdale CC commit, Adam’s offensive jump is a positive development heading into the spring. The bat showed real life in Queen Creek, and the trajectory is trending up. Highlights: |

He was up to 89 mph from the outfield with carry and accuracy and showed the ability to handle catching duties with pop times in the 2.02 to 2.10 range and a 74 mph catcher velocity.
