Carson Hunt is a physical left-handed bat in Utah's 2027 class with present strength and a strong history of competing in front of our staff. At 6-foot-3, 240 pounds, Hunt has consistently shown the ability to impact the baseball when he gets the barrel out front.
The Utah Prep Academy first baseman has appeared at several notable events, including the 2025 Future Games and the Utah Top Prospect Games. He most recently made his way down to the Arizona State Games, where he added another game look in front of multiple college coaches and picked up multiple hits during the weekend.
Hunt's best verified offensive numbers show the strength that is present in the left-handed bat. He has reached a 106.1 mph max exit velocity while producing a 97.8 mph average exit velocity in one of his stronger tracked rounds. His best contact has carried out to 407 feet.
The bat speed has also stood out in testing, reaching 79.8 mph with a 74.8 mph average. With his size and strength, Hunt has the ability to produce firm contact and drive the baseball when he gets into a pitch.
