The countdown is on for one of opening week’s premier events in the state. The 2026 Prep Baseball Alabama Kickoff Classic returns on Friday, Feb. 20th through Saturday, Feb. 21st and will be hosted at the brand new River Run Park in Northport, Alabama, setting the stage for two days of high-level baseball to officially open the high school season. With 15 of Alabama’s top programs in the field, the Kickoff Classic annually serves as an early-season measuring stick, matching up some of the state’s most recognizable contenders, plenty of returning talent, and a loaded slate of games that should draw a great crowd throughout the weekend.
