TENNESSEE - We're excited to unveil our Power 25 countdown rankings around the state. Our Prep Baseball staff worked diligently at ranking these top 25 teams, while looking at their records, scores, and player performances over the previous season. These rankings will obviously continue to change as teams play more games as the season goes on. But for now, let's begin our countdown on our 2026 Power 25.

Today, we begin our countdown by looking at the No. 25 spot, which belongs to the Green Hill Hawks.

POWER 25 COUNTDOWN: NO. 25 📊

GREEN HILL HAWKS

The Green Hill High School baseball program once again made the trip to Murfreesboro in 2025 where they won their first game against Blackman before losing the next two in the state tournament finishing the season going 26-13. 

Going into the spring, Green Hill returns only two starters in 2027 C/INF Grant Kruger and 2028 INF Xander Jackson. Grant Kruger is a player that screams scrappy when you see him on the field that has the ability to play anywhere on the field while also providing a skill set at the plate that gets him on base at a high rate. 

Although they will be young, the sophomore class for the Hawks will be one of the strongest in the state. Xander Jackson is a player that we’ve seen a lot of in the showcase circuit. He is a true third baseman with a reliable glove and strong enough arm to make every play. At the plate, he is more of a free swinger that doesn’t swing and miss very much, and can be a doubles machine at times. Jackson will also provide valuable innings on the mound where he uses a lower slot to create bad contact. 2028 Will Sloane is another versatile player that has the ability to play multiple positions on the field. Sloane will more than likely slot into one of the outfield positions where he shows sneaky athleticism for his size which stands at 6’0 210 lbs. At the plate, Sloane will be a power bat in the middle of the lineup. Sloane’s ceiling as a power hitter is extremely high as he is already putting up 104 MPH Exit Velocities. 2028 INF Tyler Reynolds is another big, middle of the line up power bat for Green Hill. Reynolds has the ability to play both corner infield spots and shows a good glove that will probably stick at first base. Another bat that just put up a 102 MPH Exit Velocity and shows big upside at the plate. 2028 C Philip Pence is one of the top catchers in Tennessee for his class. Standing at 5’11 190 lbs and has a great build for the catching position. Pence consistently shows a pop time in the 1.95-2 range with a strong arm in the mid 70’s. At the plate, Pence shows power potential with good lift and an advanced ability to keep everything gap to gap. 2028 MIF Dylan Lincicum will man the important shortstop position for Green Hill. Lincicum has some real upside at shortstop with a prototypical build standing at 6’2 160 lbs that should fill out while he is in high school. At the plate, Lincicum is more of a contact hitter at this point that makes him a good candidate to hit at the top of the lineup especially with his speed as a 6.8 runner. The upside is extremely high for this middle infielder. 

Green Hill comes into the spring having to replace most of their lineup and starting rotation, but under Coach Justin Alberson, the Hawks have consistently found a way to win their district and navigate through postseason play. Look for this talented young team to get hot and make a another run.
