Which Super 60 Prospects Bring the Most Intriguing Storylines?
January 29, 2026

The ‘Hotlist’ is a series that provides weekly insight into the high school baseball scene spanning the country, curated by Prep Baseball’s state directors who are situated nationwide, with vital intel on the prospects who are in their own backyards. Each week, we’ll publish our ‘Hotlist’ on varying topics that are timeliest to the national baseball calendar at that point in time.
This week’s topic: With the Super 60 approaching, we’re spotlighting prospects whose background, path, or added context provides another layer to their evaluation heading into the event. Please submit a prospect (or a few) from your state who will be competing at the Super 60 and brings a notable storyline worth knowing, such as multi-sport success, athletic pedigree, or other relevant background that helps frame their profile entering the event.

♨️ The ‘Hotlist’ (1/30):
Canada
+ Elliott Lascelles, SS (Upper Canada College HS, 2026) | Yale:

“Lascelles comes into the Super 60 as Canada's highest ranked national prospect (50th overall) and has caught helium, soaring up draft boards over the past couple of months. He's a premium defender on the left-side with elite bat-to-ball skills, but look for Lascelles to flash some added power outputs during his rounds of BP in Chicago and continue the momentum he's built in his senior campaign. ”

Colorado
+ Gunnar Garrison, RHP (Eaton HS, 2026) | Arizona State:

“Garrison comes with a fastball in the low-to-mid 90s and is one of the state's ultimate competitors. From the country in northern Colorado, Garrison has already claimed two 3A state championships for his historic Eaton baseball program, and will certainly have a chance at a third this spring. Garrison carries himself with extreme confidence on the mound and has the ability to flip a switch come game-time. In the dugout, Garrison is one of the most supportive, loudest, and active teammates, embracing the game on nearly every level. The senior is looking to cement his name in 2026 with the likes of his past teammates in players like Walker Martin and Mitch Haythorn who have made massive impacts on previous Prep Baseball events.”
– Caleb Dameron, Colorado Head Scout
Indiana
+ Hudson Devaughan, RHP (Mooresville HS, 2026) | Alabama:

“Father Derek played baseball collegiately at the University of Florida and Seminole State College and was drafted in the 23rd round of the 1997 MLB Draft by the Toronto Blue Jays. Mother Heather played volleyball and was a standout for the University of Florida”
+ Sean Dunlap, C (Crown Point HS, 2026) | Tennessee:
“Dunlap's rise to fame has been well-documented by our staff over the past four years. He first showcased at a Preseason ID as a freshman, showing off an advanced throwing arm from the crouch and raw-but-explosive swing that landed him as the #44 overall prospect in the class after his freshman season. We then got looks on him throughout the summer/fall circuit that year, and he really stood out in the 2023 fall while playing up a grade. He really broke out at our Fall State Games in 2023, walking away with MVP honors and cementing himself as one of the top catchers in the class. However, a leg injury prevented him from competing during his sophomore spring, and our staff went into the summer with Dunlap as a priority follow. He came out at our 2024 Top Prospect Games with something to prove, and did just that, walking away from the event with a Future Games invite. He continued his ascent that summer, building a ton of helium around himself locally before we left for Atlanta. With that being said, he introduced himself nationally at the 2024 Future Games, showing as one of the top catchers in the country for his class at that event. The buzz was loud as Dunlap had a dominant showing in Atlanta, leading to his verbal to Tennessee and an eventual All-American Game invite as a junior. The ascent continued after that, leading to his #1 ranking in Indiana, another All-American Game invite last fall, and now standing as one of the top prep backstops for the 2026 draft. Dunlap's story is one of resilience, continued refinement of his craft, and taking advantage of his opportunities to showcase his skillset again & again.”
+ Aiden Smith, RHP (Shelbyville HS, 2026) | Kentucky:
“Aiden's overall athleticism helps him to be one of the top pitchers in Indiana's class. He has a decorated career on the mound, one of the more dominant of any 2026 in Indiana, entering his senior season with over 200 career strikeouts and a career 2.21 ERA over 140 innings pitched. He's also been a force in the lineup for Shelbyville in his first three seasons, boasting a .397 career average with 20 doubles, 4 triples, and 11 home runs. Aside from his accomplishments on the baseball diamond, Smith put together quite the career on the tennis court. He finished his four-year tennis career with the school record for wins at Shelbyville High School. He is a 3x individual sectional champion, a regional champion, a state finalist, 3x All-Conference, 3x All-District, and 3x All-State Honorable Mention, along with being named an Indiana All-Star in his senior season.”
– Cooper Trinkle, Scouting Director
Iowa
(2/19/25)
+ Tucker Long, RHP (Ottumwa HS, 2026) | Mississippi:

“Tucker Long is a 6'1" 180lb RHP and is the #1 player in the 2026 class for the state of Iowa and #77 ranked overall RHP in his class. His first event was the Preseason All-State event in 2023. Tucker then participated in the Iowa Spring League of 2023, followed by the Preseason All-State event in 2024. The next event he will be participating in is the Prep Baseball Super 60 event and he is all slated to show off his stuff at the Upper Midwest Pro Case later in February. Tucker has a 92.9mph FB paired with a 79mph slider and 81mph changeup. His loose fluid move down the mound allows for the baseball to explode out of his hand. He is a consistent strike thrower with swing and miss stuff, so we are excited to see how he does at the Super 60 event as well as at the Upper Midwest Pro Case.”
– Tyler Cropley, Scouting Director
Minnesota
+ Hudson Ohm, RHP (Zumbrota-Mazeppa HS, 2026) | Minnesota:

“The number 2 ranked player in Minnesota is a late-developing, multi-sport athlete who’s made steady progress over the last couple years on the mound. Ohm also plays varsity basketball, which has helped with his overall athleticism and competitiveness on the mound.
Coming from a cold-weather state, he's had to make the most of the offseason to train, get stronger, and continue developing. Continuing to develop physically and believe there’s more room to grow, which makes this Super 60 and exciting opportunity for Ohm.”
– Andy Judkins, State Director
Nebraska
+ Brody Jindra, SS/RHP (Elkhorn South HS, 2026) | Nebraska:

“Brody has been the top ranked player in the 2026 class since its inception. He been a member of Team USA national team and is the reigning defending Nebraska High School Player of the Year where the two way star slashed .419/.565/.731/1.296. He walked 30 times to only 19 strikeouts adding 17 extra base hits at the plate. On the mound he was even more dominant, pitching to a 1.34 era while holding opponents to a .198 BAA giving up only 1 extra base hit. Over his 47 innings pitched Jindra struck out 51 batters while walking only 14. Look for the Huskers commit to make some noise in Chicago this weekend!”
– Pascal Paul, Scouting Director
Nevada
+ Chase Wilk, 1B (Bishop Gorman HS, 2026) | Minnesota:

“The Bishop Gorman product has been a staple at Prep Baseball‘s premier events since before his high school career began, starting at the Junior Future Games, then as a 2x Future Gamer, and finally as a Senior Future Gamer. We have been able to track Wilk’s progress each year and see his game continue to take step after step, culminating in his commitment to Minnesota. Now, he gets to show off his game amongst the top players in the country at the Prep Baseball Super 60. ”
+ Matthew Kelley, INF/OF (Basic Academy HS, 2026) | Texas A & M:
“The California transplant came in prior to this past high school season and immediately asserted himself as one of the top players in the state, regardless of class, as he helped lead Basic Academy to a State Championship. Following the HS season, he put together a massive performance at the Prep Baseball ProCase - West with a ProCase Record 101 mph OF Velocity, carrying that into the summer that culminated in his commitment to Texas A&M. ”
– Brett Harrison, West Region Supervisor
North Carolina
+ Rhett Britt, RHP (Topsail HS HS, 2026) | North Carolina:

“Britt is an elite mover who played basketball in past years. A senior, Britt has decided to use his preseason to prep for his final spring on the diamond at Topsail. With his trip to the Super60, we could see the jumping off point for a huge spring. A big arm, an athletic mover, and an advanced spinner of the baseball could begin to climb towards his enormous ceiling on a big stage this weekend.”
– Brandon Hall, Mid-Atlantic Supervisor
Oregon
+ Sawyer Nelson, INF (South Salem HS, 2026) | LMU:

“The Future Games alum had an exceptional 2025 start to finish, breaking out in a big way with his bat to earn an invite to the Super 60. In the spring, Nelson earned First-Team All-State honors, slashing .543/.639/.1.109 for 6A South Salem, the highest level of Oregon HS baseball. Nelson hit 13 HR and 63 RBI from the left side of the dish while playing a sound shortstop defensively. He further established his prospect status with another breakout offensive showing at the PNW Scout Games over the summer. Nelson reached base in nearly every plate appearance against some of the best arms in the region to earn Offensive MVP. The LMU commit's stock has only continued to rise and will be an intriguing follow this weekend.”
