Overall Summary

Mt. Spokane enters the 2026 season hungry and with high hopes as one of the best Spokane-area high school teams. The Wildcats are headlined by LMU commit Braeden Parker. The LMU commit exploded at last summer's Spokane Summer ID and Senior Future Games before securing his college commitment. Parker features legitimate light tower power with exit velocities up to 108 MPH in showcase looks, to go alongside a 6.74 60-time and skill at 1B or a corner OF spot. Elsewhere, senior Connor Moffitt will likely see a larger role on the mound, in addition to returning as a middle of the order bat. The Olympic College commit also flashed triple digit exit velocities in a showcase look, and can run his fastball up to 90 MPH. Senior Kyle Rayment is another talented player with tools galore, and it remains to be seen whether he provides more impact on the mound or with his bat. Infielder Landon Bennett highlights the junior class and showed the pieces to be a quality shortstop in a look last season. Though the Wildcats lose their top two innings leaders in Brayten Ayers and Layne Bennett a season ago, expect the staff to remain strong this spring. Head Coach Alex Schuerman is circling league games against Ridgeline, Gonzaga Prep and University as key matchups this spring. Expect Mt. Spokane to once again be a dominant side coming out of Eastern Washington.
