Director of Scouting- Prep Baseball Tournaments KC

As we look back on the 2025 summer tournament circuit here in Kansas City, we’ll be breaking down the top players by tool from each class based on evaluations from our scouting team at Homefield and Creekside. Follow along as we take a deep dive into these players and highlight the summers they put together. Each week will feature our top five players based on each tool from the class, presented in no particular order.

Top Fastball Class of 2026

Colton Roemmich RHP / 3B / WDM Valley, IA / 2026

Roemmich is another tall, long right-handed pitcher who impressed us this fall and has us excited about his potential. The Nebraska commit is a slim, athletic 6-foot-4, 192-pound athlete who could have two-way potential, playing well at the hot corner while also swinging the bat effectively. On the mound, he features a fastball that has touched 93 mph, and we believe he could add even more velocity as he continues to get stronger.

We saw Roemmich dominate a strong lineup at the Fall Classic, striking out seven in four innings while allowing just two hits. He sat 90–92 mph that game and mixed in a quality slider at 76–77 mph when needed.
