February 13, 2026
GALLATIN, TN — The Tennessee Preseason All-State: Upperclass was held at the Liberty Creek HS Indoor Facility on Sunday, February 8th that featured some of the top talent in the 2026-2027 classes. Players went through a pro-style workout with TrackMan, Blast Motion, and VALD Performance tech, while pitchers threw in a bullpen setting and were able to get data and metrics on our TrackMan unit.
Some prospects built on past showings, while others made strong first impressions.
We kick off our post-event coverage with a look at some of the top performers from the event, with more breakdowns and full scouting reports coming soon.

QUICK HITS
+ Jayden Pearl - The former Future Game participant and Tennessee commit put on an extremely loud round during his BP where he averaged out an insane 107.5 EV with a max EV of 111. He would belt multiple balls over 400 plus feet.
+ Berrin Zenner - The Alabama commit is another former Future Games participant that continues to impress with the left-handed bat. He would finish his BP round with a max EV of 104 while averaging out just shy of 96 at 95.7. There is a thump in the swing that looks likely for more jumps in the future.
+ Jonah Winton - Another former Future Game participant and Kennesaw State commit gave us our first look since this past summer. Shows a lot of mechanical consistency meeting pitch recognition. Barreled balls with authority and has shown continued growth. Came in looking bigger than the summer where he came in at 5 foot 11 and 165 pounds. Has a lot of projection left to tap into and is already punishing balls 101 mph with 350’ consistent shots. He is someone that shows continued growth and one we are extremely high on. Can stick up the middle with a plus arm where he clocked 90-94 across the infield. Can also pitch and shows true two-way upside.
+ Caleb Carpenter - The former Future Game alum remains someone that is uncommitted at this juncture but just needs the right people to believe in him. Big fan of the overall makeup and pitchability. Needs to continue to add velocity to his game but will only benefit that much more as he knows how to pitch without being overpowering. He did get up to 88 mph on the heater with spin north of 2000 and a breaker that lives in the mid-2400s. Around the zone with 50–100% strike percentage across pitches. Strike-thrower with feel to spin.
+ Cooper Daniel - Daniel is another right-handed pitcher that participated at last summer’s Future Games where he looked clean and dominant in an inning of work. Looks like he has filled out some and I have always been a big fan of the arm pattern and whippiness to his mechanics. Sat 87-89, while up to 90 mph on the heater with spin north of 2200 spin, with 58% in zone. The separator is a hammer breaking ball at 2800-2900 rpm’s. A big spring can propel him further going into the summer as he carries elite spin for the class and a true out pitch.
+ Treyson Derry - The Western Kentucky commit gave us our first look since the summer and Derry continues to mature in the body and in his overall game. 96 mph max EV, 360’ top distance, and a batted ball profile that lives in the air (73% sweet spot of LD/FB mix). On the mound he sat 85–87 with feel for two secondaries and looks to be primed to consistently grab upper 80’s in games this spring. Real two-way traits.
+ Cooper Nebben - Nebben has been someone that we have been out to the ballpark to see multiple times over the last few seasons as he just quietly stacks great seasons after great seasons and believe he will be a later addition to a D1 signing class after the season he puts together after the summer circuit ends. Topped 91 mph with an 80% fastball in-zone rate as he is able command and live off of it. Slider/CB both show swing-and-miss shape. Prototype strike-pounder with feel to finish hitters in quick at-bats.
+ Case Collins - Case has been someone that has firmly been on my radar over the last season and a half and man he continues to get better each and every time I see him. Pitched well this summer on the circuit without relying on overpowering hitters and will only do him well in the long run as he looks to be throwing consistently harder where he say 88-89 in his pen, while topping 90 mph. Will need to continue to hone in his secondary offerings for strikes but shows apt to spin with the right profiles. Spin across the board 2200–2400. Starter traits with three-pitch mix.
+ Jack Emerson - 7.04 runner, 100 mph EV, 369’ max distance. Also hopped on the mound topping 87 with feel to spin it. Athletic mover with legit two-way indicators and someone that we should get continued looks on this spring.
+ Ben Gant - Gant may have had one of the loudest all-around days bringing a well rounded athletic makeup to the diamond. For his 60, he would clock in the 6.7 second range. Would finish his BP round with a 104 mph max EV, 385’ distance, and an impressive 73% sweet spot percentage rate. Loud contact metrics with an equally loud round that jumps off the barrel.
+ Aiden Britton - We got our first look at Aiden in months and looks noticeably bigger and more athletic. 98 mph max EV with on-plane efficiency and hand speed metrics that suggest bat speed is coming. Athletic profile with projection.
+ Gabriel Shepler - The Grace Christian product showed well on Sunday at Preseason All-State where he handled the bat with authority and composure. 101 EV, 322’ distance, and strong rotational acceleration. Consistent quality contact with strength in the swing.
+ Preston Sumner - Sumner had a great season last spring as the only sophomore starting varsity for one of the most talented teams in the state. Narrowly missed Future Games but is coming into his own and will be a focal point this season for the Dragons. Just shy of 97 average for his round of BP with a max EV of 104 EV, 356’ distance, including an 83% sweet spot. Was up to 89 across the infield, while also carrying one of the highest Vizual Edge scores of the day with an 83.63 score. One of the more consistent impact bats in the dataset and all around performance.
+ Hudson Snell - Snell jumped on our radar this fall where we saw him put a show on in BP on a scout day and he has continued to be talked about amongst out staff. Long levered 6-4 frame with 95 average EV with a max EV of 101. Bat path metrics suggest leverage is working with projection tied to strength gains.
+ Cole Creasman - The Farragut native is someone that we are really high on and we got another great look this past weekend as he joined the older group and you would not have known whatsoever by the performance he put out. Left-handed bat with a max EV of 104 EV, balanced batted ball profile. Clean mover with present strength and future ceiling. 89 across the infield and can play multiple positions. Should get playing time this spring for the 4-peat Admirals.
+ Ryan Newell - Newell continues to put on size, even in his smaller stature. Well build and has a lot more room of muscle mass that should be added as he continues to mature. 102 EV, 80% ground ball rate but still produces impact. Suggests strength with room to optimize launch. 88 mph from the outfield with athletic movements.
+ Garrett Stephens - Garrett is coming off a season where he was used primarily as a pinch runner this past spring as a sophomore but should get a big jump in playing time as he steps into his junior season. 97 EV with an 85% sweet spot percentage. Extremely efficient contact profile that should be able to beat out singles and turn some into doubles.
+ Luc Michitti - On the younger side for the 2027 class but continues to raise his athletic profile. 7.05 runner, balanced spray chart, repeatable swing metrics. Quietly consistent across the board.
+ Max Wilcox - The Blackman native looks increasingly larger in the frame while continuing to get more athletic. Was passive at times last spring but if he can look to punish baseballs in zone, has a chance to have a great spring as Blackman looks to return to the state tournament. 102 max EV, 364’ distance, strong air-ball profile. Power trending up.
+ Scout Loftis - Loftis continues to impress with the left-handed stick and will be someone that we get eyes on this spring. Physical and athletic frame at 6 foot 3 and 205 pounds. Really good runner clocking in the 6.6 range for this sixty and steps into the box absolutely launching baseballs. 104 EV with a 97 average EV for his round. Would like to see him lower his 75% ground ball clip but carries elite bat speed (76 mph) and when launch syncs, it’ll be loud.
+ Jack Lauer - The Ravenwood product continues to get better and will step into a big role this spring for the Raptors. 101 max EV, also 85–87 on the mound with feel for spin. Athletic two-way traits.
+ Joshua Duggin - The Murfreesboro native usually carries a loud round in BP and Sunday was no different as he showed a lot of the traits make you double take during his round. 76.5 mph bat speed, 363’ distance, and top-tier rotational acceleration. Advanced mover in the box. Duggin should be in a prime spot to have a major impact on Siegel as they look to get back to the state tournament again.
+ Jr Mathis - Jr came into Preseason All-State with more physicality than we saw him last where he is currently up to 215 pounds. Thumped baseballs during his bp round to a tune of a 101 max EV on a 380’ max distance shot, strong sweet spot profile, and left-handed leverage. Physical bat and one to keep an eye on.
+ Jacob Caruso - The Memphis native got his first Prep Baseball showcase under his belt this past Sunday and left impressions on our staff for our first initial look. 7 flat runner with better times to come. 96 max EV, albeit with a higher ground ball rate percentage. 90 mph from the outfield on running throws. More to come.
+ Bowen Combs - All around impressive showing for our first look and will be someone that we monitor as the spring season progresses. Thicker frame with muscle mass in the 185 pound body. Good and athletic mover with 6.7 second sixty. 99 max EV with a 81% sweet spot percentage and elite rotational acceleration numbers. Extremely efficient swing.
+ Alex Page II - Page continues to get better and better and someone that has his best baseball in front of him. Sturdy frame at 215 pounds. Barreled balls during BP for a max EV of 103 on a max 360’ distance. Compact explosive swing metrics with more to come in the profile. Strength shows up in the data.Good receiver with clean mechanics with arm strength in the upper 70’s. 1.87-1.92 pop times.
+ Sam Wilkinson - Man if we could give out an MVP performance for the day, Wilkinson would have likely taken the cake as he left us following him all over the field on Sunday during the Preseason All-State. 103 max EV with balanced batted ball splits. Littered baseballs 375’ plus with his furthest batted ball traveling 394 feet. Strong, repeatable left-handed stroke. Clean mover in the field with plus arm strength in the middle to upper 80’s. Great competitor and will have a big impact on Christian Brothers this season.
+ Jay Insani - The Riverdale product has been a guy that we have followed extensively over the past few seasons and continues to fill out in the frame that makes me that much more excited for him. 104 max EV with a 97 average EV for his round. May have his highest ceiling on the mound where he jumped up to 86–87 with feel for the zone. Showed great actions behind the dish on receiving and moving out of his croutch. Popped 80 multiple times on throwdowns to a 1.88-1.90 pop time. True two-way profile with athleticism.
+ Will Lenczynski - The West high school product may have one of the better all around profiles where he showed multiple above average traits compared to his peers. Great frame at 6 foot and 190 pounds with athletic movements to a 6.9 sixty with better times to come. Event best 27 mph peak hand speed is elite and something you don’t see all that often. Finished with an insane 99 mph average EV with a very robust 106 max EV. Would hit multiple balls 375’ plus with his furthest shot going the distance of 392’. Had one of the best jump metrics of the group and showed an all around explosive power output with athletic components. One to definitely know going into the spring and summer
+ Elijah Crenshaw - We have been a big fan of Elijah for some time now and if he can stay consistently healthy, will have a lot of baseball in front of him. Big, physical kid at 6 foot 4 and 220 pounds. Moves extremely well for the size clocking a 7.1 sixty. Good and limber mover behind the dish with a clean arm action that clocked 1.85-1.92 poptimes with clean accurate throw downs. At the plate, maxed out at 104 max EV on a 95 average EV. Barreled baseballs with authority up the middle with a 60% line drive percentage on an impressive 80% sweet spot percentage. Will be an incredible late addition to a college roster and one that we will be out to see repeatedly.
