Overall Summary
McMinnville enters the 2026 season with high hopes after a deep playoff run to end last season. The Grizzlies will be anchored by their pitching, returning three key arms. Senior lefthander Tyler Brummitt is as dependable as they come had the most appearances of any returner from last spring, and can stick in a corner outfield spot as well. Senior Aaron Rolfe is another key arm and can impact the game in a variety of ways, sticking in centerfield and in the middle of the order by the end of last spring. Lower Columbia commit and senior Cameron Hyder is perhaps the most tooled up of any player in the area and is the third main arm on the pitching side. Hyder also boasts 6.76 speed and has impact power from the right side, with the ability to change a game at any time. Hyder returns as Pacific Conference POTY and will have a real case to contend for a state POTY as well. Elsewhere, seniors AJ Morrison and Drew Bizon also return as 1st team all-league players. Prep Baseball is also circling senior Kaeden Chapman as a player who could take a step forward, with some pop from the left side and the ability to play a corner INF spot. Head coach Todd Peterson is circling matchups against Lakeridge, West Linn and Sherwood as games to watch for the 2026 Grizzlies. Expect McMinnville to lean on their strong senior class and be a contender at the 6A level once again.
