2026 Power 25 Countdown: No. 19 Christian Brothers Purple Wave

The Christian Brothers High baseball program finished the 2025 season going 26-13 and was put out in the final four of the state tournament. Going into the spring, the Purple Wave have to replace multiple members of their senior heavy lineup in 2025. 

Christian Brothers has the best player in the state of Tennessee in former Future Game alum 2026 C Will Brick who is also a Mississippi State commit. Will offers one of the most impressive skill sets of any player in the country and is arguably the best defensive catcher in the class with a 1.8 pop time and 83 MPH arm. At the plate, Will is equally as impressive with true power to both gaps. When the 2026 draft comes around this summer, MLB teams will be clamoring for Will’s services and keep him from stepping foot in Starkville. Another big bat returning to the lineup is MTSU commit 2027 C/3B Will Britt who is a great athlete as a 6.69 with a 6’2 190 lbs frame. Will is once again going to split third base and catcher with Brick. At the plate Will is coming to his own as a hitter and has a good ceiling as a power threat. Defensively, Will has a chance to stick at the catcher position. The last returning member of the lineup will be 2026 1B Kale Sanders who should slide into the middle of the lineup. Kale has great size standing at 6’2 200 lbs and should provide pop in the middle of the lineup. A newcomer to the lineup that should make an impact is 2027 OF Sam Wilkinson. Sam attended the Preseason All-State and put up impressive numbers with a 102.5 MPH max exit velocity. In the field, Sam showed a strong arm up to 89 MPH. As a left-handed hitter with good size at 5’11 190 lbs, Sam should be a plug and play guy. 

On the mound, Christian Brothers returns two good arms in Scotty Stafford and Ty Holman. 2026 Coastal Alabama commit LHP Scotty Stafford returns as the ace of the staff. Scotty is a crafty lefty who can get into the upper 80s with his fastball and throw 3 pitches for a strike. 2027 RHP Ty Holman is a strong armed pitcher with great size who is also a strike thrower. Ty has good upside and will continue to get stronger. 

Christian Brothers lost a lot of their roster after the 2025 season, but they still return some big pieces that know how to win. A trip back to Murfreesboro should not be ruled out for this young, but talented squad.
