2028 National Rankings Spotlight: Braedon Paczocha

Wisconsin prospects have continued to gain national recognition in recent years. Following last month’s rankings update, Paczocha is the lone prospect from the Badger State 2027 class earned spots inside the national top-500. Today, we highlight the standout catcher, Braedon Paczocha (Mukwonago, 2028).
pactocha represented Wisconsin at the 2024 Junior Future Games a few summer's back at LakePoint in Georgia and was a partcipant at this past summer's second annual Wisconsin State Games. The catcher is ranked No. 1 in the state's 2028 class, No. 300 nationally, and the No. 29 ranked catcher in the nation.

At the plate, presents a balanced base with some pre-pitch rhythm while utilizing a short stride to get into a position of launch. Showed an easy, repeatable right-handed swing with some present feel for the barrel and an ability to hit to all fields. Showed some present barrel strength, producing a max exit velocity of 96.8 mph during his round of batting practice. One of the top defenders in the state behind the dish with athletic actions to pair, making consistently accurate throws from the chute with poptimes in the 2.09-2.16 second ranges while looking like an asset receiving and blocking. Developing 5-foot-11, 167-pound frame with some present athleticism.
+ C Braedon Paczocha (Mukwonago, 2028) was one of the big winners on the day with what he showcased with the bat and on defense. The backstop showed the athleticism off by running a solid 7.18 seconds 60 yard dash which was the second best mark of the day among the 2028 group. Next, the former Junior Future Game participant displayed his natural feel to hit and was up to 92 mph EV and had a 70 percent sweet spot percentage. Behind the plate, Paczocha turned around the baseball quickly and recorded an impressive 1.97 seconds pop time. He also showed an advanced feel for the position with the ability to be a confident presence for pitchers behind the plate. Arrow remains sky high for Paczocha.
