Overall Summary
Grant enters the 2026 season with high hopes after an incredible playoff run and a 6A state title game appearance last spring. The Generals are headlined by senior San Diego Mesa commit Elliot Raiton. The two-way talent hit .411 with 6 home runs and 27 RBI near the top of the order, providing much needed power and experience to the lineup. Raiton also logged 16 innings on the mound, where he'll look to carve out a bigger role this season. The pitching will be anchored by senior RHP and Feather River commit Jinki Tomita. The righty has as smooth a delivery as any arm in the area and logged 45 innings with a 1.40 ERA in 2025. Seniors Abram Dasso and Luke Norick should contribute on the mound as well, while transfer Nate Kagen could also play a factor. Elsewhere on the offensive side, INF Grant Snidow is an arrow up junior with smooth actions at shortstop and a steady bat. Snidow hit .312 and is a breakout candidate for Grant. Junior Calvin Sorensen is another player who could be in line for a big spring after seeing some limited varsity action in 2025. Head coach Matt Kabza will be faced with a loaded schedule this spring, including games against Jesuit, South Salem, West Linn and Wells. Look for the Generals to carry the momentum of their playoff run into a successful 2026.
