Numerous players across the state continue to put up impressive numbers both as position players and pitchers on the mound. This year we will be selecting one Pitcher of the Week and one Player of the Week based on nominations from high school coaches across the state.
Thank you to the many high school coaches that sent in nominations this week.
Let's take a look at the Hitter and Pitcher of the Week for Week 1 (Feb 16-Feb 21).

Chase Pearrow SS / 3B / Waxahachie, TX / 2026Rankings StateRank: 135 / POS: 29
2026 Navarro recruit Chase Pearrow earns Hitter of the Week honors after a dominant Week 1 performance. Pearrow went 11-for-18 at the plate, launching 5 home runs, driving in 13 RBI, scoring 10 runs, and adding 2 doubles to cap off an explosive opening week. We’ve watched Pearrow steadily grow into his power, and it’s been impressive to see it translate so loudly in live high school action. The strength, confidence, and impact are all trending in a big way early this season. |

Hardin fired a 7-inning no-hitter against Azle, punching out 15 hitters in a commanding performance.
