Utah Class of 2028: Preseason Rankings Update

With the high school season now in full swing, we are excited to unveil our Spring 2026 update to the Utah Class of 2028 Player Rankings. This refresh reflects a full year of in game evaluations, summer tournament coverage, and fall and winter Prep Baseball events, as this Sophomore group continues to gain traction across the state.
The 2028 class is built on projection and upside, with many players just beginning to tap into their physical tools. Over the past year, we have seen noticeable jumps in strength, athleticism, and overall polish as they adjust to the varsity level and elevated competition. Several prospects are already trending on a national scale, while others continue to make steady climbs with each viewing. The depth in this class is real, and the ceiling across the board makes it one of the more exciting groups to track moving forward.

Our evaluation process remains steady and comprehensive, built on live looks, data collection, and ongoing conversations with coaches and scouts across the state and beyond. As always, player development is fluid. Some prospects have taken noticeable jumps, while others continue progressing at their own pace, which is a natural part of the journey. With high school season on the horizon and key recruiting windows ahead, expect more players to rise, more names to enter the mix, and even greater clarity as Utah’s 2028 class continues to take shape.
