2026 PB South Alabama Showdown: Weekend Preview

With opening week in the books, the spotlight now shifts to the coast for another marquee early-season showcase as the PB South Alabama Showdown takes center stage during the second weekend of the 2026 high school season. Set for Thursday, Feb. 26 through Saturday, Feb. 28, this three-day event will feature 15 of Alabama’s premier high school baseball programs competing across four host sites, the Gulf Shores Sportsplex, Orange Beach Sportsplex, Robertsdale High School, and Volanta Park, creating a true statewide stage for some of the top teams in the state.

This year’s field brings together a strong mix of north and south Alabama programs, setting up a slate of unique, early-season matchups that rarely occur during the regular season. With teams still settling into their rhythm and lineups beginning to take shape, the South Alabama Showdown serves as an important measuring stick heading into March. Below, you’ll find everything you need to know for the weekend, including key event information, the full schedule, and a team-by-team breakdown as Alabama’s best converge on the coast for three days of high-level competition.
