Hunter Martin
Tennessee Scouting Director

TENNESSEE - We're excited to unveil our Power 25 countdown rankings around the state. Our Prep Baseball staff worked diligently at ranking these top 25 teams, while looking at their records, scores, and player performances over the previous season. These rankings will obviously continue to change as teams play more games as the season goes on. But for now, let's begin our countdown on our 2026 Power 25.

Today, we begin our countdown by looking at the No. 13 spot, which belongs to the Beech Buccaneers.

POWER 25 COUNTDOWN: NO. 13 📊

BEECH BUCCANEERS

The Beech High baseball program finished the 2025 season going 25-18 and was put out by Independence in region play. Going into the spring, the Buccaneers return 6 players in the lineup and their ace pitcher.

Leading Beech into the season is 2026 OF/RHP Kaden Powell who is also a Kentucky commit. Kaden has a big frame standing at 6’4 250 lbs that has translated to some big power numbers and some real horsepower on the mound. Kaden is a left-handed hitter

that has an old school approach at the plate with the ability to average as well as impressive power. Kaden finished the year with an astonishing .440 AVG and 15 HRs. Even with his stature, Kaden is a 6.9 runner that moves extremely well in the outfield. On the mound, Kaden will be the ace of the staff with a fastball up to 93 MPH. 2026 Vol State commit INF Jackson Kennedy will return as the third baseman and 3 hole hitter for Beech. Jackson has been a mainstay at the top of the lineup who has shown to have a good mix of power and speed. 2026 OF Jack Douglass is the cleanup hitter for the Bucs and has a big frame standing 6’3 220 lbs. Like Powell, Jack can also really run with his frame and covers a lot of ground in centerfield. Returning as the leadoff hitter is 2028 MIF Grayson Kennedy who had a lot on his plate as a freshman as he also served as the starting shortstop for the Bucs. Grayson handled his role well and became a true tone setter at the top of the lineup.

Beech has a veteran group of players that went to the state tournament in 2024 and just missed out on returning last year. They will look to punch their ticket again in 2026 and use their experience to make an even bigger run.
