2026 OSSAA Team Preview: Piedmont Wildcats

The Oklahoma high school baseball season kicks off on Feb. 23 for classes A and B and Mar. 1 for classes 2A-6A, opening day for regular season action under OSSAA regulations. Leading up to opening day, we’ll be publishing our team previews ahead of the 2025 spring season, touching on programs spanning all state classifications, counting down to the official Prep Baseball Oklahoma Preseason Power 25 Rankings.

Perennially, we’ve submitted a preseason questionnaire to high school head coaches across the entire state. Their responses have been flooding in and we’re using the detailed insight they’ve provided in our team-by-team preseason analysis.

    • 2025 Defensive Stats = 241 TC, 20 A, 220 PO, 1 E, .996 F%, 211 INN, 12 CS, 24% CS%, 7 PB
    • 4 year starter, starting C for 3 years, field general, his leadership on the field is invaluable.
  • Zane Pruitt: CF, 2026, 5'10", 170, R/R Southern Nazarene University commit.
    • 2025 Offensive Stats = .361 AVG, .467 OBP, 3 2B, 26 RBI, 32 R, 17 SB
    • 2025 Defensive Stats = 61 TC, 3 A, 55 PO, 3 E, .951 F%
    • Willing to do what it takes to win. Led our team in bunt singles, SACs, RBIs, HBPs. Hard nosed, speedy OF who can go get it defensively as well.
  • Jack Guinn: DH/RF/RHP, 2026 5'10", 190, R/R Eastern OK State JC commit.
    • 2025 Offensive Stats = .383 AVG, .476 OBP, 11 2B, 5 3B, 1 HR, 25 RBI, 24 R, 9 SB
    • Was the best hitter on our team last year. Led the team in XBH. He has a lot strength and plus pop to all fields.
  • Jarret Isennock: 1B/C, 2026, 6'0", 180, R/R Southern Nazarene University commit.
    • 2025 Offensive Stats = .320 AVG, .471 OBP, 4 2B, 5 3B, 20 RBI
    • 2025 Defensive Stats = 235 TC, 20 A, 207 PO, 8 E, .966 F%, 62 2/3 INN, 3 CS, 27% CS%, 3 PB
    • Learned 1B so he could be in the lineup each day as our backup C. Professional hitter who doesn't go out of the zone much or give away AB's.
  • Ethan Burns : RF, 2026, 6'2", 190, R/R
    • 2025 Offensive Stats = .333 AVG, .448 OBP, 3 2B, 1 3B, 1 HR, 15 RBI, 19 R, 9 SB
    • 2025 Defensive Stats = 22 TC, 1 A, 21 PO, 1.000 F%
    • One of the best athletes on field who plays with an intensity that is hard to match.
  • Blaine Hollingshead: LF, 2028, 6'2", 175, R/L
    • 2025 Offensive Stats = .322 AVG, .434 OBP, 5 2B, 1 3B, 18 RBI, 34 R, 18 SB
    • 2025 Defensive Stats = 33 TC, 30 PO, 3 E, .909 F%
    • Phenomenal freshman season. Blaine was put into high pressure situations at a young age and never disappointed. Look for an increase in pop from him this year.
  • Drake May: SS/RHP, 2026, 6'1", 185, R/R Hutchinson CC commit.
    • 2025 Offensive Stats = .297 AVG, .455 OBP, 6 2B, 1 3B, 1 HR, 21 RBI, 28 R, 11 SB
    • 2025 Defensive Stats = 124 TC, 69 A, 45 PO, 10 E, .919 F%
    • 2025 Pitching Stats = 55 IP, 5-4 W/L, 2.55 ERA, 49 SO, 28 BB, 1.42 WHIP
    • Great athlete who can do it all. Will be our #1, starting SS, and is a guy who can hit for power. If he takes the next step as a hitter, watch out. Also, topped 93 MPH off the mound this fall.
  • Pryce McClure: 2B/RHP 2027, 6'0", 170, R/R
    • 2025 Offensive Stats = .268 AVG, .402 OBP, 5 2B, 19 RBI, 23 R, 7 SB
    • 2025 Defensive Stats = 144 TC, 73 A, 52 PO, 19 E, .868 F%
    • 2025 Pitching Stats = 32 IP, 2-1 W/L, 1 S, 3.28 ERA, 35 SO, 25 BB, 1.56 WHIP
    • Pryce is a dirt bag kind of player. He knows the game and competes in every facet of the game. He will more than likely be our #2 this season and will see tons of time in the IF. This kid is never scared of the moment.
  • Clayton Harrington: 3B, 2026, 6'0", 200, R/R
    • 2025 Offensive Stats = .276 AVG, .380 OBP, 6 2B, 1 3B, 23 RBI, 22 R, 12 SB
    • 2025 Defensive Stats = 90 TC, 53 A, 31 PO, .933 F%
    • Clayton is a 4 year varsity player. He is a rangy 3B that fields his position really well. Clayton brings pop to the lineup as well.
  • Tatym Stahlman: 2B, 2027, 5'11", 170, R/R
    • 2025 Offensive Stats = .300 AVG, .462 OBP
    • 2025 Defensive Stats = 63 TC, 29 A, 28 PO, 6 E, .905 F%
    • Tatym was a spark plug for us last season during our playoff run. While serving a situational defender most of the season, he may have been our best player last year during the playoffs. This kid is a 3 sport athlete who shines when the lights are on.
  • Tucker Kipf: RHP, 2027, 5'8", 150, R/R
    • 2025 Pitching Stats = 35 2/3 IP, 7-2 W/L, 1S, 3.14 ERA, 35 SO, 12 BB, 1.21 WHIP
    • Tucker will our our #2/3 this season. He has logged over 30 innings on the mound in each of his freshman and sophomore season. We will look for his load to increase even more this season. He is a seasoned junior pitcher who pounds the zone with 3 pitches for a strike.

  • Catcher Lindley (NOC Enid)

Coach’s Insight: “Our strength will be our experience and depth throughout the lineup. Most of our starters are 3 year starters if not more. We have 10 hitters that have a lot of experience and we feel will get the job done in any situation. On the mound, we are bringing back our 2, 3, and 4 from last year. All three of those guys threw crucial innings in last year's Regional and State Tournament. Defensively we will be running out the same defensive lineup as last year at every position. Hopefully we don't have this but if it were to creep in, it would be complacency. If we think we will automatically be in the position we were in last year because of last year we will be in trouble. We have to make sure we are putting in the work that is necessary each day. ” – Adam Skokowski, head coach

Outlook: A state tournament semifinalist a season ago, Piedmont brings back a staggering portion of that team that played their best baseball down the stretch. Eight returning starters and six arms will give them valuable experience heading into the 2026 spring. They have a balanced mix of youth and experience as well as underclassmen that saw opportunities at the varsity level a year ago that will pay dividends this season. On the mound, the Wildcats will be stout despite losing their ace Catcher Lindley from a season ago. Expect them to attack the zone consistently as they bring back big innings throughout the postseason. Offensivley, they have a balance of athleticism and a middle of the order with plenty of extra base hit upside. A talented roster returning, expect Piedmont to be a contender for the 6A title in May.
