Throughout the high school season, we will recognize a Mizuno Player of the Week and Mizuno Pitcher of the Week. Each week, standout performances from both position players and pitchers across the state will be highlighted as players continue to produce eye-catching results. This season, one Player of the Week and one Pitcher of the Week will be selected based on nominations submitted by high school coaches throughout Mississippi. MIZUNO PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Brooks Crawley 1B / OF / Northwest Rankin, MS / 2026

Brooks Crawley put together a huge stretch at the plate for the Cougars, going 9-for-19 with three home runs, two doubles, and 10 RBIs. Crawley consistently did damage in the middle of the order, showing power to all fields and driving in runs in key spots throughout the week.

MIZUNO PITCHER OF THE WEEK

Carson Renfro LHP / 1B / Grenada, MS / 2027

Carson Renfro was dominant on the mound, tossing a complete-game, seven-inning no-hitter in Grenada’s win over Heritage Academy. The left-hander was in complete control throughout the outing, racking up 11 strikeouts and never allowing a hit as he powered his way through the lineup and anchored a statement performance for the Chargers.
