2026 OSSAA Team Preview: Edmond Memorial Bulldogs

Prep Baseball Oklahoma Staff

The Oklahoma high school baseball season kicks off on Feb. 23 for classes A and B and Mar. 1 for classes 2A-6A, opening day for regular season action under OSSAA regulations. Leading up to opening day, we’ll be publishing our team previews ahead of the 2025 spring season, touching on programs spanning all state classifications, counting down to the official Prep Baseball Oklahoma Preseason Power 25 Rankings.

Perennially, we’ve submitted a preseason questionnaire to high school head coaches across the entire state. Their responses have been flooding in and we’re using the detailed insight they’ve provided in our team-by-team preseason analysis.

Our 2026 preseason coverage continues today.

Key Players Lost:

Coach’s Insight: “We like the experience we have at key positions. Several of our players have multiple years of varsity experience. We like the quality and depth of our pitching staff as well. We are like everyone else in that we need to stay healthy. We are relying on some of our younger/less experienced players to play as close to their ceiling as possible. ” – JP Holman, head coach

Outlook: Edmond Memorial will return one of the most well-rounded clubs in the state in 2026. They have high-level talent around the diamond along with a top of the rotation featuring one of the top 1-2 punches of any district rotation. Offensively, they will have top end speed near the top of the order that should consistently pressure opposing defenses, and a potent middle of the order anchored by switch hitting third baseman Cooper Kardokus. The Bulldogs have had talented underclassmen the previous couple seasons that now appear primed for a monster breakout. On the mound, there is depth that will give Head Coach JP Holman and staff plenty of options throughout the year to attack opposing offenses. This will obviously be vital in May when the postseason rolls around and the leashes get shorter. The Bulldogs are unquestionably one of the most talented in the state, and will be a team to watch as they make a run at a 6A title this spring.
