Yates Toney Named Prep Baseball NC Player of the Week

Yates Toney, C | Burns High School | Class of 2028

Yates Toney is kicking off his sophomore campaign at Burns High School on the right foot, earning him recognition as the Prep Baseball NC Player of the Week. The Class of 2028 catcher was instrumental in Burns' 2-0 start to the season. 

Toney led the charge on opening night with a perfect performance at the dish going 4-4 with a HR, 3 singles and an RBI. He then followed up his strong start with another good night at the plate in game 2 going 2-3 with two base hits, a walk, an RBI and two runs scored.
