TENNESSEE - We're excited to unveil our Power 25 countdown rankings around the state. Our Prep Baseball staff worked diligently at ranking these top 25 teams, while looking at their records, scores, and player performances over the previous season. These rankings will obviously continue to change as teams play more games as the season goes on. But for now, let's begin our countdown on our 2026 Power 25.
Today, we begin our countdown by looking at the No. 17 spot, which belongs to the Hardin Valley Academy Hawks.

POWER 25 COUNTDOWN: NO. 17 📊
HARDIN VALLEY ACADEMY HAWKS
The Hardin Valley baseball program finished the 2025 season going 21-12 and getting put out by eventual state champions Farragut. The Hawks are in position to make their own run in the state tournament with a loaded senior class with top of the line pitching.
The pitching staff will be the strongest part of the Hardin Valley team going into the 2026 season. 2026 RHP/INF Jax Sparks is a former Future Games alum and a Tennessee Tech commit. Jax is one of the strongest right-handed arms in the state and has a fastball up to 90 MPH. He has shown time and time again to be an absolute bulldog on the mound and the ultimate strike thrower. In the lineup, Jax should return as the 3 hole and third baseman. 2026 Walters State CC commit RHP Camden Huckaby will return as the #2 in the rotation giving the Hawks two aces. Camden is a big right-handed pitcher standing at 6’4 245 lbs and throws a fastball up to 90 MPH.
Hardin Valley has multiple other seniors that are committed that will make a big impact for the Hawks. OF Tyler Sowards, MIF Cameron Dillon and RHP/1B Wyatt Fellers are all committed to play baseball at Pellissippi State CC. 2026 RHP/C Carson Lane is committed to Chattanooga State CC. 2026 MIF/OF Jack Pate is committed to Maryville College.
Hardin Valley comes into the spring with one of the most veteran teams in the state and has the pitching staff that can beat anyone. It will be interesting to see if their experience will manifest into a getting back to Murfreesboro in May.
