2026 Prospect U Scout Day - Quick Hits
January 27, 2026
On Sunday January 25th, Prep Baseball Washington hosted the Prospect U Scout Day at Big League Edge Training Center in Kent, WA. Prep Baseball scouts evaluated high school athletes in the 2026-2029 graduating classes, with several strong showings throughout the event.
Preseason events serve as an identifier heading into the spring high school season, providing Prep Baseball scouts and college recruiters a list of prospects to follow as they plan their spring coverage. We also tend to see prospects’ best performances in the preseason, as most athletes are fresh and coming off of strict and targeted off-season training programs that have resulted in big gains. Standout performances can lead to invitations to some of the summer's biggest invite-only events, including the Pacific Northwest State Games, Prep Baseball Future Games, and more.
Today, we unveil our Quick Hits, detailing scouting notes on standout performers. Stay tuned the remainder of this week for all post-event content.
2026 Prospect U Scout Day
Quick Hits
'27 RHP Adrian Cardullo (Hamilton, MT)
Medium-framed righthander with strength evenly distributed in frame. Works from an abbreviated wind from the slight 1B side of the rubber, maintaining a quick tempo down the mound with late intent. Sinks into lower half with slightly closed land and a quick arm path out front to a 3/4 slot release. FB topped out at 90.7 MPH, sitting 88-89 for strikes throughout. CH/SL both flashed in the upper 70's, working to both sides of the plate. Impressive showing, arm to know in the region.
'29 LHP/1B Oliver Carpinito (Kennedy Catholic)
The young lefty displayed promise and upside, particularly on the mound. 6'4 high-waisted frame with some present strength works from slightly closed stretch position, landing open with a compact arm action to a high 3/4 slot release. Some deception created in the arm action with a heavier fastball up to 81.6 MPH, sitting 79-81. Curveball was lone offspeed delivery shown at 70-72 MPH with 11/5 shape. Also drove balls north of 300 feet from the left side of the dish and posted 78 MPH throws across the infield.
'29 RHP Archer Coy (Kennedy Catholic)
6'2 arm showed a ton of potential to dream upon on the mound, and should see some jumps in stuff as he continues to grow and add strength. Sets slightly open with bend in knees, with a high leg kick into late extension down the mound. Generates scap retraction well with a 3/4 slot release and an ultra-controlled decel through finish. Fastball was 78-79 MPH, working to all quadrants. Both offspeed pitches have ability to be plus offerings, killing spin and generating horizontal break well on a 68-70 MPH SPL and throwing a SL at 72-74 MPH as well. Drove balls into the upper 80's up to 324 feet at the plate. Arm to watch.
'28 RHP Madden Figliola (Auburn Riverside)
Another pitcher carrying a ton of upside, Figliola has the tools to be a power arm despite some rawness currently. Long-limbed 6'3, 190 pound frame moves well through shorter, simple delivery from the stretch position. Continuous arm path into high, over-top slot release with momentum carried through target post-release. FB topped out at 85.9 MPH, sitting more 82-83 MPH for the most part. Intriguing SPL carried late drop at 72-73 MPH, and SL at 73-76 MPH was spun at nearly 2500 RPM at its best.
'26 INF/RHP Jakoby Goss (Tilamook, OR)
Senior showed two-way ability and positional versatility to highlight his most recent showcase look. Works from a balanced RH approach at the plate, maintaining a pull-oriented approach to drive balls up to 312 feet. Athletic mover carries ability up the middle in the infield or in a corner OF spot, with throws up to 87 MPH defensively. On the mound, Goss featured a four-pitch mix with a FB at 81-82 partnered with a CH/CB/SL offspeed combination. Uncommitted senior to know heading into the spring in Oregon.
'28 1B Cael Miller (Kentwood)
The sophomore continued to establish himself as one of the better power bats in his class in this look, building on a strong showing at last fall's West Coast Super Sophomore Games. Punished baseballs with strength through contact at his best, peaking with an event-best 102.7 MPH exit velocity and 363 max batted ball distance. Carries bat and hand speed to result in loud contact. 1B-only player defensively who makes the routine play. Underclassman should see his first extended varsity run this spring and can provide real pop to a lineup.
'26 OF Myles Myers (Thomas Jefferson)
Ultra-quick athlete with real shot to play CF at the collegiate level. Kicked off the evening with an event-best 3.66 30-yard dash time. Showed great progress offensively with developing gap-to-gap power, peaking with a 98.9 MPH exit velocity. Flatter, line drive approach can let his speed play. Some rawness present in the fielding and throwing actions, but covered ground quickly in an indoor setting. Uncommitted senior to circle.
'26 RHP Brett Pederson (Bonney Lake)
Another uncommitted senior heading into the spring, Pederson showed arm strength defensively and on the mound from a lean 6'0 frame. In his bullpen, Pederson worked from a relaxed set in the full wind, working through with steady intent into a cross-body fire. Low 3/4 slot release generated some heavy run on a FB 83-85 T 86.2 MPH. CH and SL were thrown in the low-to-mid 70's, thrown with consistent arm speed and from a similar low slot. Defensively, Pederson showed quick MINF type actions, leading the event with 86 MPH throws across the diamond. The senior also worked exit velocities into the upper 80's from the right side.
'26 INF Anthony Wagner (Tahoma)
Wagner improved several of his metrics from multiple other Prep Baseball showcase looks, particularly offensively. Compact-framed senior generates impressive batspeed for size, with a longer, lofted path resulting in a peak exit velocity of 99.7 MPH and balls hit up to 373 feet. Maintains a quiet head with a quick, low toe-tap into fire, rotating well through contact. Defensively, can play at 3B but best suited for 2B with compact, clean actions shown. Ability to give an offensive lift to a high school side with high potential this spring.
