One of the top-ranked players nationally, Keelan Zumwalt receives plenty of praise for his projectable size and outstanding bat, but we’re equally impressed with his arm strength and ability to control the running game. His true right-field arm really stands out, and he showed it at the Central Super Sophomore Games by posting a 90 mph outfield velocity. We believe there’s much more in store as he continues to mature following a significant growth spurt this spring and summer.
Zumwalt also ranks highly on our two-way list thanks to his work on the mound. His fastball topped out at 87 mph at the Central Super Sophomore Games, showing quality arm-side run. As he continues to add strength and refine his athleticism and pitching skills, we think he has the potential to develop high-end arm strength both on the mound and in the outfield.
