Aurora Preseason ID: Catcher Analysis
January 27, 2026
On Monday, January 19th, we kicked off our winter ID circuit with the Aurora Preseason ID, held at the Sports Zone in Aurora, IL. This event was host to roughly 50 players from around the state and allowed all in attendance to showcase their off-season gains in a pro-style workout.
Today, we continue our post-event content with a look at every single catcher from the day, including a top-5 ranking of who our staff thought showed the best on the day.
Brock Zaremba (Lincoln-Way East) and Chase Smith (Lake Park) are a couple 2028’s from the day worth mentioning and will be prospects to follow in the coming years, both showing upside right-handed swings in their rounds of BP.
