January 27, 2026
As we look back on the 2025 summer tournament circuit here in Kansas City, we’ll be breaking down the top players by tool from each class — based on evaluations from our scouting team at Homefield and Creekside. Follow along as we take a deep dive into these players and highlight the summers they put together. Each week will feature our top five players based on each tool from the class, presented in no particular order.
Top Throw Tool Class of 2028

Mason Biernacki OF / RHP / Penn High School, IN / 2028

One of the most tooled-up 2028s we saw all year, Biernacki possesses a ton of talent, highlighted by one of the strongest arms in the class. He posted a 92 mph outfield velocity at the Freshman All-State on February 22nd of last year. With a full year of added experience and development, we expect that velocity to continue climbing as he enters his sophomore spring and summer seasons.
Biernacki has been a regular on our Top Tools lists, and we’re excited to see the improvements he’s made over the fall and winter. We saw him with the Indiana Bulls 2028 team and are hoping to catch up with them again this year.
