Damien Nolan, Saint Mary's College High School (CA), 2027
Positional Profile: RHP/3B Intriguing RHP with starter arsenal. Potential two-way talent, with compelling tools at the plate.
Body: 6-0, 184-pounds. Wiry, athletic build with strength evident throughout the frame. Has room to fill out further.
Delivery: Starts with hands at the belly button, showing little movement, prior to syncing with the front leg during the load. Sinks into the back leg with a drop/drive motion while moving down the mound with a long stride. Employs very high leg kick, before engaging the hips with slight inward hip turn. Hips fire open slightly early, but direction to the plate is maintained. Shows feel for blocking, and works with a smooth, controlled delivery.
Arm Action: RH. Delivers from a low 3/4 slot with a full arm path that creates depth behind the body. Loose, but aggressive arm action generates quick acceleration through release. Finishes with noticeable recoil.
FB: T90, 86-88 mph. High spin FB that displays good life and some run (particularly when thrown to arm-side). Misses barrels and can generate whiffs with enough carry at the top of the zone. T2557, 2435 average rpm.
CB: 69-69 mph. Two-plane action; used to change eye level. Potential for putaway pitch. 2199 average rpm.
SL: 72-77 mph. Showcases two offerings. Tight, late breaking SL that tunnels well off the FB. Generates whiffs against both sides. Confident using inside to LHH. Additionally, displays SL with sweeping action to RHH; gets chase away. 2002 average rpm.
CH: 73-75 mph. Kick-change profile that kills spin. Effective weapon against LHH in any count, with late drop/fade. Gets swing-and-miss low and away. T794, 731 average rpm.

Body: 6-0, 184-pounds. Wiry, athletic build with strength evident throughout the frame. Has room to fill out further.
Hit: RHH. Starts from a wide, balanced stance with a slight bend in the back knee. Hands rest at ear level with a raised back elbow. Initiates the load by sitting into the back knee as the hands drift into the slot. Uses a small toe tap for timing before striding forward under control. Fires hips at foot landing, keeping hands back for solid separation. Works directly through the zone with slight uphill path and good bat speed, producing consistent hard contact and power to the middle and pull side.
Power: 101 max exit velocity, averaged 85.4 mph. 382' max distance.
Arm: RH.
Damien Nolan, a 2027 RHP/INF from St. Mary's College, showcased impressive tools at the Prep Baseball Future Games Tryout in NorCal this past weekend. The 6-foot-1, 185-pound athlete displayed a strong, athletic build, projecting well for future development. His infield velocity topped out at 88 mph, demonstrating a live arm with clean mechanics and consistent accuracy from a high ¾ slot. On the mound, Nolan’s fastball sat 85-87 mph, peaking at 88 mph, with a spin rate averaging 2100 RPM, showing good life and potential for added velocity as he matures. His curveball, ranging 70-72 mph with a 2300 RPM spin rate, exhibited a sharp 11/5 break, generating swings and misses. Nolan’s changeup, at 76-78 mph, complemented his arsenal with deceptive arm speed and late fade. At the plate, he recorded a max exit velocity of 103.9 mph (92.7 mph average) and a max batted distance of 395 feet, highlighting plus power potential with a line-drive, pull-side approach. His 60-yard dash time of 7.2 seconds reflects above-average speed for his size. Defensively, Nolan showed soft hands and fluid footwork in the infield, with the versatility to handle multiple positions. Overall, his combination of raw power, arm strength, and two-way upside makes him a high-follow prospect for the 2027 class. Nolan is also coming back from an arm injury and was only on a 15 pitch count, a fun arm to follow when he’s back to throwing full time.
Positional Profile: RHP/3B
Body: 6-1, 185-pounds.
Hit: RHH. Wide, balanced stance, with slight bend present in back knee. Hands rest at shoulder level with high back elbow. Sits into back knee to trigger load, with hands drifting back into slot. Adds slight toe tap for timing, then strides forward. Creates good separation, with hips firing as foot lands and hands sitting back well. Hands stay short to and long through the ball, with present bat speed. Barrel works directly through the zone, with slight uphill trajectory to get the ball in air consistently. Makes loud contact up the middle and to pull side, with ability to hit for power. mph bat speed with g of rotational acceleration.
Power: 104 mph max exit velocity (92.7 avg.); 395-foot max batted distance.
Arm: RH. INF - 74 mph. Clean transfer, with lengthy arm path out of the glove that creates depth downward. Gets some carry and shows feel for accuracy on throws. Arm plays up on the mound, will need to improve to stick on left side.
Defense: Demonstrates quiet feet, soft hands, and solid body control. Is comfortable playing both laterally and downhill. Would like to see slightly more urgency on balls hit in front, but shows good instincts.
Athletic Testing: 7.34 runner in the 60-yard dash; 25.20-inch max vertical jump.
Vizual Edge: 62.44 Edge Score.
Delivery: Hands sit at the belly button, with minimal movement, prior to syncing up with the front leg during the load portion. Sinks into rear leg, incorporating a drop/drive movement, as he gets down the mound with a longer stride length. Hips open up ever so slightly, but maintain his direction well. Shows solid feel for blocking and works with smooth and controlled delivery.
Arm Action: RH. Works quickly, with full arm path out the glove. Creates depth behind the body, on the way to a low 3/4 release. Arm-action displays looseness, but is aggressive as he get through his delivery. Shows quite a bit of recoil after release.
FB: T88, 85-87 mph. FB displays good ride and arm side run, with enough carry to miss barrels when located at the top of the zone. Effective in on the hands of RHH. Playable on the edges and down in the zone to induce weak contact. T2525, 2343 average rpm.
CH: 75-76 mph. CH shows some arm side fade and is able to kill spin. Works well off the FB, getting chase below the zone and away from LHH. T1210, 1072 average rpm.
