Hitting at the varsity level as an 8th grader is tough to do, especially for a defending State Champion club, but that's exactly what Duplechain is doing this spring for the Vikings. A left-handed hitter, Duplechain plays with a lot of energy and confidence, his swings decisions are advanced for his age, and he shows present bat speed and barrel control. In our first look last weekend, he went 1-1 with a 2B, 3 RBI, and a BB against Hahnville, and then went 1-2 with a RBI, R, and BB against Brusly in his last game at the Trey Altick Tournament.
