Aidan McCarthy: RHP/OF, (2025) North Quincy, MA. 150-pound athletic lean build. Capable at the plate, the right-handed hitter had an exit velocity of 84 mph. (66.5 mph bat speed average). (20.3 mph hand speed average). Begins in a balanced narrow stance with a high long load, then uses a small stride. Has developing bat speed, level swing plane and good extension on his finish. He found some barrels with some loud contact. Line drive approach. Capable in the outfield, he showed the ability to make throws to the bases at 73 mph; has developing consistent feet, a natural exchange, and developing soft hands. Fields the ball to the side, movements laterally were developing. Used a ¾ slot with a loose arm action while showing decent accuracy to the base. Projectable on the mound, used a ¾ arm angle and a loose arm action while showing developing arm speed. Feel type pitcher who uses some effort. Displays in line shoulders and a consistent balance point. Lands closed with a falling off finish. Threw his fastball 74-75 mph; has running sinking action and arm side command. (Max spin 2100; Avg 2024). Had glove side around the zone control and sweeping action on his curveball (60-62). (Max spin 2211; Avg 2077). His changeup (71-72) shows hard action.
Aidan McCarthy: 3B/RHP, (2025) out of North Quincy, MA. is a 5-foot-5, 120-pound prospect. At the plate, Mccarthy had an exit velocity of 68 MPH. His initial set up is out of a balanced, athletic stance with relaxed hands. He loads well to the back side before taking a long, flat path through the hitting zone. In the infield, McCarthy was 62 MPH on his throws across the diamond. He also showed he had sure hands, consistent smooth footwork, and a clean exchange, while working through the defensive portion. In the 60-yard dash, his time was 8.56. On the mound, his delivery is simple with easy effort. The movements are short, he gets balanced at the top, with the shoulders in line, before landing square. The arm works out of a high ¾ arm slot, producing a fastball that sits 61-62 MPH (Max spin 1672; Avg 1599), with some arm side run. McCarthy also mixed in a 12/6 curveball (53-54 MPH) (Max spin 1722; Avg 1675) and a changeup (60-61 MPH) with fading action.
