6-foot-3, 195-pound right-handed hitting catcher. We have seen Chris a number of times and he always does a nice job at our event. Threw 78 mph from behind the dish, the arm works cleanly. Pop time of 2.01 at the event. The transfer can improve with better footwork during the throw down. The receiving is solid and he does a good job of blocking. Also worked out at third base, throwing 79 mph across the diamond. The glove is solid, the prep steps need to be addressed to aid the infield defense. Tee exit velocity of 87 mph. Hits out of a wide base, high back elbow and relaxed hands. The path is long and flat to the ball. The bottom half uses a pick up and put down of the front foot as the ball approaches. The hands are good and work cleanly. Ran a 4.59 down the line on his dig to first base.

6-foot-2, 190-pound, big, strong physical athletic frame. The shoulders and back are wide, has room to put added weight on, will be very physical at some point. A right-handed hitting catcher, who can also play one of the corner infield positions. At the plate has a simple balanced approach. The feet are even, hands are loose at shoulder height, the swing path is flat through the zone, keeps the barrel in the zone for a long time. Looks to drive the baseball to all fields. The tee exit velocity 87 mph, has good strength in his hands. Times down the line were at 4.66. Defensively, showed soft hands, good balanced relaxed setup when receiving the baseball. The feet and hands work well together, has no wasted movement in transfer. The arm action is short and clean on the back side, throws had carry and were down hill. The arm was clocked at 77 mph and had pop times of 1.89 - 2.06, throws were on the proper side of the bag. Worked out at third base as well, has soft hands, feet are quick in transfer, arm works fluidly out of a higher slot, clocked at 79 mph. Projects for me as more of catcher, solid follow.
Home - First: 4.66

Right-handed hitting catcher who showed well for himself at the event. The frame projects and he shows good athleticism. Ran a 4.59 down the line on his dig. Behind the dish, pop time of 2.03, as the transfer needs to continue to improve. The footwork can be quickened as he physically matures. Threw 71 mph from behind the dish. I like the progression of the receiving as his hands are soft and he secures the catch appropriately. At the plate, tee exit velocity of 82 mph, as he can continue to get stronger. Sets up with open feet, and high back elbow. The load is minimal and the bottom half needs to get under control as there is a great deal of action in his feet. The bat path is long and flat to the ball, needs to be shortened a bit at the initiation of the
