Dawson Bryce: SS/RHP, (2023) Taunton, MA. 6-foot-1, 185-pound projectable build. At the plate, Bryce recorded an exit velocity of 91 mph. (71.7 mph bat speed average). (22.2 mph hand speed average). Sets up in a balanced, athletic stance then uses a controlled stride. Bat speed is quick, exhibits a flat loose swing plane and good extension on his finish. He found multiple barrels with a lot of loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Solid showed his live arm in the infield with position velocities up to 85 mph; has sure hands, a clean exchange, and consistent smooth feet. Showed a long arm action and a low ¾ slot. During the event, clocked a 60 time of 7.02. Solid on the mound, had a long loose arm action with low ¾ arm angle. Used easy effort in his delivery. Tall balance point with in line shoulders. Lands square with a clean finish. Produced a fastball that came in at 84-86 mph; showed sinking action with heavy movement. (Max spin 2507; Avg 2429). He shows fading action on his changeup (76-77). He shows sweeping action on his slider (73-74). (Max spin 2730; Avg 2719).

The feet remain active through the fielding process and he showed good arm strength across the diamond. He threw 79 mph during the infield portion of the workou. He displayed a tee exit velocity of 88 mph. The setup is even in base and the front foot steps into the pitch as the swing is produced. The hands work free and clean to contact. The path is long and strong to the ball and he shows potential with the bat. He turned in a solid first workout with us.
