Scouting Report: 6-foot-2, 200 pounds, stronger, solid, durable athletic frame. A RHP, arm action is quick and loose, working from a higher slot, pitching down hill. Locates the fastball to both sides of the plate, fastball reached 86-87 mph, showing arm side sink and run. Pounded the zone with true breaking ball at 68-70 mph, showing proper spin and shape to it. Mixed in a fading changeup as well.
6-foot-1, 190-pound right-handed pitcher and right-handed hitting infielder. On the mound the fastball sat 83-84 mph with arm side run to it. The spin pitch was 70-71 mph and solid in shape. The changeup was 76-78 mph with minimal fade to it. The delivery was online with the feet and the slot is repeated. The leg lift is small, he turns his back to the hitter and makes his way to the plate. The slot is slightly above 3/4. He showed a good feel for his body and controlling the baseball.
6-foot-1, 180-pound right-handed pitcher and right-handed hitting middle infielder. Ran a 7.6 sixty at the event. The approach in the infield is online and appropriate. The glove is solid and he threw 75 mph across the diamond. The bat has an exit velocity of 85 mph. The setup is even in base and the front foot gains ground as the swing is produced. The path is long and uphill to contact. On the mound, the fastball sat 78-79 mph with arm side action to it. The spin pitch is 65-66 mph and big in shape. The changeup is a work in progress for him. The delivery is solid in tempo and repeated. The arm is slightly above 3/4 and quick. He has a chance to be real good on the mound, good follow in his class.
Dean Madden: SS/RHP, (2027) Canton, MA. 160-pound solid athletic build. Projectable during batting practice, Madden had an exit velocity of 84 mph. (68.7 mph bat speed average). (20.4 mph hand speed average). Starts in a narrow balanced stance with a controlled load, then uses a small stride. Bat speed was developing, used an uphill long swing plane and good extension on his finish. He barreled up multiple balls with loud contact. Line drive approach. Capable in the infield, recorded a position velocity of 76 mph; has developing consistent feet, developing hands, and a developing natural exchange. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were developing. Used a high ¾ slot with a consistent arm action. Projectable on the mound, used a consistent arm action and a high ¾ arm angle while showing developing arm speed. Up-tempo type pitcher who uses some effort. Showed consistent balance point with in line shoulders. Lands closed with recoil finish. Cutter (69-71 mph). Produced a fastball that came in at 77-78 mph; has command arm side around the zone and running sinking action. (Max spin 2081; Avg 1974). Showed glove side around the zone control and slurvey action on his curveball (68-69). (Max spin 1952; Avg 1952). His changeup (70-71) has arm side control and gradual fading action.
