5-foot-11, 175 pounds, average athletic build, can still add strength to the upper and lower halves without sacrificing mobility on the mound. Working from a natural high ¾ slot off the mound, Hamell-Kelleher keeps his hands high as he progresses through the delivery. High leg kick with minor coiling action, average hand speed off the arm swing. Needs to continue refining repetition in mechanics, but works in change of pace arm slot drops to keep hitters off balance. Shorter stride length. Heavy fastball dosage to hitters in game, sitting 77-79 MPH, and touching as high as 81 MPH. Best when working down in the zone. Primary offspeed offering was an 11/5 curveball between 67-72 MPH. When on top of it, generated some late vertical break. Adds in the occasional changeup at 69-71 MPH, which could be a show me offering down the road. If the velocity ticks up again heading into his senior season, the deception in the delivery and comfort changing slots could make him an intriguing bullpen arm.
