Physical: 6-1, 180 pounds; Lean, athletic build. 6.77 runner in the 60.
Offensively: RHH. Even setup, with feet wide spread; has a pre-pitch bat waggle. Loads straight back with a slight leg-kick for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing an aggressive lower half. Showed a short swing path with a two handed finish. More line drives than flyballs and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 95 MPH via Trackman plus feel for the barrel; gap to gap pop with power continuing to develop.
Defensively: Starts with a low to the ground setup; uses prep hop while playing low to the ground. Hands are soft with a clean transfer. Short take back while using various arm slots. INF - 91 MPH; advanced defender with a strong arm and ability to make the play on the run with ease.
Physical: 6-foot-1, 175 pounds; Athletic, lean build. 6.78 runner in the 60.
Offensively: RHH. Even setup, with feet just outside his shoulders; has a pre-pitch bat waggle. Short take back with the hands with a slight leg-kick for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing a strong lower half. Showed a slight lift to the ball with a two handed finish. More line drives than flyballs and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 97 MPH via Trackman. High sweet spot and hard hit %.
Defensively: Starts with a low to the ground setup; uses prep step while playing low to the ground. Hands are out in front while funneling to the hip before transfer. Moderate arm circle from a standard 3/4 arm slot. Displaying active footwork and next level arm strength.
Physical: Tall / projectable 6-foot, 155-pound frame with long limbs and high level athleticism. 7.46 runner in the 60-yard dash. Offensively: RHH. Wide, even stance with slight bend in the knees as the hands start with minor wiggle out over the plate. Utilized a slow lift and replace stride coupled with a bat waggle at the top of the load to initiate an uber-efficient, slightly uphill barrel path into the hitting zone. Impressive swing patterns with ability to match the pitch plane early and often in the path, had no issues getting long through extension either with long levers jolting through the baseball at the front of the plate. Showcased the ability to stay in the legs at the plate and sink down with adjustability on the low pitch. Recorded a peak bat-exit velocity of 86 mph per Trackman Baseball and found his greatest success elevating the baseball to the LCF gap during batting practice. 319 foot maximum batted ball distance. Defensively: The primary shortstop featured easy, fluid movements on the left side of the infield, feel for range on either side, didn’t show high level pace in defensive evaluations but got it over in a hurry during game action. Quick first step with natural instincts, smooth transfers, long but smooth, high ¾ arm-slot on the release. INF - 81 mph Pitching: RHP - Started from the left side of the rubber with average pace to the delivery, hip coil at the top of a medium-high stack, drives with good direction towards the plate landing even, high ¾ arm-slot with a full arm circle and whip to it. FB ranged from 78-80 T81 mph with an upwards of 2138 spin per Trackman Baseball, played well up in the zone. Mixed in a quality 63-65 mph breaker showing late, 11/5 tilt to it. Countered with a 69-71 mph CH flashing good deception at the plate and near fastball arm speed.
Physical: Wiry, athletic frame. 7.77 runner in the 60; 4.5 home-to-1B.
Offensively: RHH. Tall, upright stance with a narrow base, hands start out in front of his body and work back on load along with a medium stride for timing Direct barrel path that works uphill on finish, good use of lower half, extension after contact. Lots of hard contact up the middle. 82 MPH raw exit velocity.
Defensively: Uses a hop for timing, gets around the ball well, fields the ball on his arm foot, moves well laterally. Long arm swing with a high 3/4 arm slot. INF - 75 MPH.
Pitching: Short sidestep with high leg lift and coil, sits into back side as strides across with shoulder tilt to a closed landing before pulling through to a balanced, flat back follow through. Long, fluid arm swing with 3/4 release. FB: T75, 72-74 MPH. Downhill plane with life into the zone. CB: 55-57 MPH. Good feel for it with a big, early break; 11-5 shape. CH: 62-64 MPH. Maintains hand speed with arm side fade.
A lean athletic frame at 5-foot-7, 115 pounds. Ran a 7.93 in the 60 yard dash. Offensively-the right handed hitter stands in the box with feet shoulder width apart. Simple load actions. Uses a double tap for timing before attacking the hitting zone. Good use of the lower half and stays balanced throughout the swing. Top exit velocity was 76 MPH. Defensively- as a C, displayed active footwork. Receives the ball slightly upright. Quick release from a high ¾ arm slot. Top throwing velocity was 63 MPH. The 2024 graduate is athletic enough to play all over the field. Jackson will be one to follow as he continues to develop.
