Brinker is a 6-foot-1, 170 pound right-handed hitting infield prospect. He hits out of an even set up, with the hands set tight against his body. The load is controlled by a leg kick that shifts the weight over the back leg. The swing itself is flat and direct to and through the hitting zone. During the batting practice he showed the ability to drive the ball to the pull side gap with a top exit velocity of 88.3 MPH. He also showed some foot-speed, with a 7.1 second sixty.
Defensively, Brinker showed good actions and a long arm action in the middle of the diamond. The feet were light as he worked to get into a good fielding position. As he transitioned through the ground ball, the hands were soft and he was able to get the hips in line with the target. He moved through the ground ball well and showed good arm strength with a top velocity of 77 MPH across the diamond.
