5-foot-10, 155-pound left-handed hitting outfielder. The approach in the outfield is athletic and appropriate. He moves very well and with confidence, throwing 87 mph during the outfield portion of the workout. The bat had an exit velocity of 91 mph. The setup at the dish was wide in base and he steps into the swing. The path is clean and he gathered a couple hits during game play.
I like the skill-set of this young 4-foot-9, 70 pound left-handed hitting outfielder. He started out with a tee exit velocity of 53 mph. The swing is fluid, balanced and the hands work. He hits out of a square, athletic stance. The hands are relaxed just off the back shoulder.
Defensively, he threw 58 mph from the outfield. His approach is athletic, adjusting well during the play. The feet are light and he adjusted nicely to get into a good fielding position. The transition to throw, is efficient and he shows a quick arm-swing.
On the mond, I really like the potential! The mechanics are sound. He uses simple movements to get balanced over the rubber and remains balanced throughout the delivery. The simplicity of his delivery allows his arm to be loose and fluid. The fastball was 55-58 mph with some late action.
I’m excited to follow this young player. The fluid arm on the mound has a chance and his skill-set as a position player is fundamentally sound.
