The prep steps need to be cleaned up to help him work through the ball. More than likely, suited for first base but time will tell. Ran a 4.09 thirty at the event. The bat has serious buggy whip to it, and he stood out. Tee exit velocity of 90 mph. Sets up with a wide base and high handed start. The path is flat and a bit long through the ball. Strength in the swing is certainly apparent. Should provide juice as he ages. The feet are under control within the swing. On the mound, pitches out of a plus ¾ slot. The head has a small lean to it, causing a back arch to foot strike. The bottom half of the delivery is on-line and workable. Fastball was up to 81 mph and heavy. The spin pitch is slurvey and up to 67 mph. The shape of the slurve is appropriate, more fastball hand speed would help the pitch. The changeup was good, sitting at 75 mph with fade to it.
