Kazlauskas has an athletic frame at 5-foot-9, 165 pounds. The right-handed hitting outfielder showed some strength off the tee, with an exit velocity of 80 mph. He hits out of a balanced set-up with the hands set in a relaxed position. The load is short, with his weight staying centered over his midline. The result is, the bottom half is lacking with his swing. The hands do a nice job of creating a consistent plane to and through the hitting zone. He also shows the potential for gap to gap juice. I think with a tweak to get some more weight to the backside, his legs will engage and add momentum to his swing.
Defensively, the feet move well as he gets into position to field. The glove is in a good position out in front. As he breaks down to field, he is balanced and behind the ball. He transitions well to the throwing position, in line with the target, with a clean arm-swing. During the event, he was 60 mph from the outfield.
5-foot-9, 165-pound, smaller, stronger average athletic frame. Rounded shoulders, strength throughout. A right-handed hitting outfielder, showed well on both sides of the field. The stance is slightly open, at shoulder width, hands are loose with bat starting in a slightly tilted position. The swing is level through the zone, with approach more to the pull side. Took a solid round of batting practice, squaring the baseball up, had a tee exit velocity of 76 mph and ran an 8.37 sixty-yard dash. Defensively, used more of a shuffle for the transfer, showed correct routes attacking the baseball. The arm action was long and clean on the back side, working from a higher slot, clocked at 67 mph. Look for him to be offensive, solid follow.
