Keagan Ryan: OF/SS, (2023) out of Lawrence Academy, NH. is a 6-foot-1, 175-pound outfield prospect. During batting practice, the right-handed hitter recorded an exit velocity of 87 mph, with a (63.7 mph bat speed average) and (21.5 mph hand speed average). Ryan hits out of a balanced, athletic stance with the hands set just off the back shoulder. He then used a short stride to trigger a simple, flat swing that stays on plane through his finish. During his rounds, Ryan showed a quick bat and the ability to use the whole field. From the outfield, he made throws to the infield up to 87 mph, while demonstrating he has athletic, smooth feet, a clean exchange, and sure hands. The setup is wide in base and he takes a small step to the ball as the swing is produced. The path is slightly uphill to contact and he stays inside the ball to contact. The hands work clean and free. The frame needs to add strength and weight to aid the development of his game.
