The breaking ball is big, sitting 67-69, needs more fastball hand speed to the pitch. The changeup has good fade and action to it, sitting at 71-73 mph. The delivery is online and he pitches out of a high ¾ slot. The delivery is repeated, sits on the back side causing an uphill plane to his pitches. Hard pull on the glove side as he makes his way into foot strike. Additional tracking of the front shoulder is needed for his control of the ball to improve. There is deception to his delivery, so when he begins to throw more strikes, lookout.
5-foot-10, 155-pound left-handed pitcher from the Roxbury Latin School. This guy was the sleeper of the event for me. The delivery is a drop and drive delivery and has deception to it. Sits on the back half and drives to the plate, the glove is active as he gets into foot strike. The direction of the front shoulder into foot strike needs to be cleaned to help control. The stuff is good, fastball touched 81 mph with good arm side run. The spin pitch is a small slurve, sitting at 69 mph. The spin is tight with the right shape. The changeup is 74 mph, has the right shape to it. Good looking arm that should be followed as he is left-handed with a quick arm and he spins it.
