The setup at the plate was athletic in base with the front foot slightly open to start. The front leg is lifted for timing and the approach is middle of the field. On the mound, the fastball was 80-81 mph with minimal arm side run to it. The slider is 65-66 mph and big in shape. The changeup was 72-73 mph with minimal fade to it.

He threw 79 mph from right field to the plate at the event. The glove is reliable. The bat has an exit velocity of 88 mph. The setup is wide in base with the front foot open to begin. The front foot closes down as the ball approaches. The bat has a small amount of bat wrap to it as it gets launched. The swing is flat to contact. Matthew Gale Jr: OF/LHP, (2027) Shepherd Hill Regional High, MA. 5-foot-10, 135-pound slim frame. Capable during batting practice, the hitter had a max exit velocity of 75 mph. Begins in an open narrow stance with a long load, then uses a closed small stride. Bat speed was developing, and used a long swing plane. He barreled up some balls with some loud contact. Line drive approach. Capable in the outfield, his best throw of the day was clocked at 77 mph; had developing hands, developing footwork, and a natural exchange. Fielded the ball out front with developing movement laterally. Showed a high ¾ slot and consistent accuracy to the bag. Capable on the mound, showing developing arm speed he had a high ¾ arm angle with a consistent arm action. Feel type pitcher and showed some effort. Balance point is tall with in line shoulders during delivery. Lands closed with a falling off finish. Produced a fastball that came in at 70-71 mph; shows running action and sporadic command.
