Maryland Preseason All-State Session II
Body: 6’2’’, 212 pounds. Strong, imposing frame with physicality throughout.
Hit: RHH. Balanced, even stance from a slightly upright start; utilized a controlled, early toe tap stride to initiate the bat head through a slightly vertical path into a high finish at the head. Recorded a standout 54% line drive rate during his batting practice round with bat to ball skills present. Stayed behind the ball well with a short entrance into the hitting zone; was able to handle pitches over the inner third / middle of the plate with confidence en route to a mostly middle / LCF approach at the dish. Hit into a stiff front side at impact with consistent bat speed present (75+ mph average via Blast Motion).
Power: 92 mph exit velocity during BP per TrackMan. Reached a 262 foot peak batted ball distance. Current doubles power to pull.
Arm: RH. INF - 75 mph. Short, high ¾ slot with a direct, straight back takeaway.
Defense: Adequate pace during defense with a feel for a strong base and active feet, arrived on time with a purpose on each rep, trying to create positive angles towards the target on throws. Stayed low with a soft glove hand off the middle, left side of his body on the way through.
Run: 8.23 60-yard time.
