Maryland Preseason All-State Session I
Body: 6’0’’, 185 pounds. Strong, athletic, projectable frame.
Hit: Switch. Hits from a balanced, slightly crouched, square stance at the plate. Smooth back load with weight shifted nicely to the backside and solid hand separation. Bigger leg kick stride with solid hand rhythm throughout. Attacks the ball with intent with quick hands and lightning fast bat speed consistently. Slightly uphill swing path, staying behind the ball well with strong lower half involvement. Ball comes off the bat really well with a strong gap-to-gap line drive approach and a two handed finish.
Power: 93 mph exit velocity during BP per TrackMan. Present strength to the middle of the field with pop to the pull side. More projected as the body continues to grow and add strength.
Arm: RH. C - 77 mph. Throws with shorter arm action from a high three-quarter slot.
Defense: Pop times ranged 1.96-2.10. Gains ground on throws to second base with really nice momentum towards the target. Replaces feet well with quick, clean exchanges and throws that showed accuracy and some carry.
Run: 7.57 60-yard time.
