Price is lengthy right-handed hitting catcher. At the plate, he starts slightly open before employing a quick leg lift. His weight comes off his backside as he strides and his barrel is pushed through the zone on a relatively level path. He gets some extension. He may have trouble handling higher level pitching until he learns to stay into his backside and legs better. His hand and bat speed allow him to compensate. He should add gap power as he continues to develop. Exit velocity of 90mph. Behind the plate, he is a solid receiver who minimizes wasteful movements. He has a quick transfer and solid arm strength which translates into a sub-2.0 pop-time. Should be able to stick behind the plate. Price has a lot of room to develop and will help whichever program he joins.

11.5.16 - Athletic frame at 6-foot, 175-pounds. Ran a 7.21 60-yard dash. Hits from an open, athletic set up. Short swing path in and out of the zone. Stays inside ball well. Whips bat through. Nice rhythm and shows some lower half involvement. Quick hands, feet and exchange from behind the plate. Throws have carry on them and were in line to the bag. Solid 2018 prospect to keep an eye on.

2.21.16 - Athletic and projectable frame at 6-foot, 171-pounds. Ran a 7.1 60-yard dash. Athletic low base receiving. Soft hands and stick ball well. Clean exchange and quick feet on throws to second. Falls slightly off toward glove side on throws. Throws had some carry at 72 mph. Pop time got as low as 2.02 (Did not hit).

8.11.15 - Athletic frame at 6-foot 161-pounds. Hits from a stacked, open set up. Stride gets to balance with small load.  Nice balance throughout swing. Level bat path with some bat speed. Exit velocity at 83 mph. Quick exchange behind the plate. Slight pause in his short arm action throwing from a high ¾ arm angle. Pop times got as low as 2.13 with 72 mph velocity. As he makes exchange and release more fluid, time should get lower. Ran a 7.37 60 yard dash.
