The 5-foot-8, 180 pound left-handed hitting infielder had one of our higher tee exit velocities, at 87 mph. The set up is tall and narrow, with the hands set around the back shoulder. The load is short and gets him into a strong position to hit. The hands are quick into the zone and the path is direct. During the BP he hit a lot of hard line drives and showed some pop to the pull side. He also ran an 8.02 sixty at the event.
Defensively, he was 73 mph across the diamond. Before the ball is hit, the feet are moving slightly, needs to be a little more active with his feet. As he begins to work toward the ground ball, the feet are deliberate and he gets square. The glove could stand to get closer to the ground but the angle is good. The actions laterally are good and as he transitions into the throwing position, he gets tall.
