Wheaton has an athletic 6-foot-2, 175-pound build. He pitches from a high-3/4 arm slot with a short, quick arm action. He showed good body control with good use of his lower half in his delivery. His fastball sat 78-81 mph and had downhill action with some arm side run. His curveball had sharp 12/6 break with depth and sat 70-71 mph. His changeup sat 74-76 mph with fading action. He showed the ability to repeat his mechanics.

6-foot-2, 170-pound prospect. Aggressive, fast-twitch, athletic right hander with good size. Works from the stretch. Fastball sits 80-83 mph with arm side run. Curveball was very good, showing 12/6 break with fastball arm speed at 69-70 mph. Slider had cutter type action from side to side. Straight changeup flashed some potential at 73-74 while thrown for strikes. Good mix.
