Clay Spencer: OF/LHP, (2024) Detroit Country Day School, MI. 5-foot-9, 140-pound. Projectable during batting practice, the switch hitter had a max exit velocity of 81 mph. (59.63 mph bat speed average). (17.81 mph hand speed average). Began in an athletic stance with a smooth load, then used a toe tap. Bat speed is explosive, uses an upward swing plane and good extension on his finish. Found multiple barrels with a lot of loud contact. Line drive approach. Confident in the outfield, he showed the ability to make throws to the bases at 77 mph; had sure hands, a clean exchange, and fluid footwork. Glovework was used to the side. Had a long arm action with a high ¾ slot. In the 60-yard dash, he clocked a time of 7.22. (Max spin ; Avg ).
