Began in a balanced open stance with a smooth compact load, then used a long closed stride. Bat speed was electric explosive, used a simple long swing plane and level finish. He barreled up lots of balls with a lot of loud contact. Up the middle gap to gap approach. While in the infield, made throws at velocities up to 82 mph. Behind the plate, has a quick clean transfer, athletic smooth feet, and soft consistent hands. Used a high ¾ slot and a short arm action while showing consistent accuracy to the bag. Smooth solid on the mound, showed quick arm speed with a ¾ arm angle and a short arm action. Tall-and-fall type pitcher who uses easy effort. Shows downhill shoulders. Lands closed with an athletic finish. Threw his fastball 78-80 mph and topped out at 81 mph; showed running action and arm side control with tight movement. (Max spin 2163; Avg 2000).
